Tom Bihn

  • TomBihn
  • Making bags out of Ballistic Nylon, Denier Cordura, and other impressive stuff.

How they’re made in the USA:

Tom Bihn actually designs all Tom Bihn bags. If he’s not in the Seattle factory consulting with the sewing crew, designing a new bag, or making patterns, he can most likely be found hiking, using one of the very bags he designed. A lot goes into a Tom Bihn bag: American-made Ballistic Nylon and 500 and 1000 Denier Cordura, YKK splash-proof zippers, etc.

    Where’s their hometown:

Every Tom Bihn bag is made in the company’s Seattle, Washington, factory. Only a small number of accessory items are manufactured under contract in Montana. Tom Bihn only sells products that are made by people fairly compensated for their labor. The company is dedicated to creating quality products and quality jobs.

What the company has to say:

“We are a lean little company and a museum-quality example of human-scale capitalism: we make stuff and sell it to people.”
